Dragged to the lakeside by his friendship with Kit, Rex is a recovering photojournalist helping document the search for the host of The Midnight Radio. A skilled outdoorsman and capable hand in the field, he’s prepared for almost anything — except what’s waiting in the night.
Dangerously curious, Kit has followed the trail of The Midnight Radio to Lake Lockeland. She’s at ease in the woods, obsessed with the local wildlife, and quietly hoping the trip gives Rex room to heal. A Petra Rose mixtape has also been on repeat for longer than anyone should admit.
Atlas Kain built The Midnight Radio on strange stories, sharper arguments, and the careful art of never being wrong. He’s charming when he wants to be, insufferable when he forgets to stop, and just human enough for Kit and Rex to get under his skin.
A touring icon with arena lights behind her and a collection of tabloids stuffed in the bus locker, Petra Rose is not exactly the pop star people think she is. She’s a sharper musician, deeper writer, and much bigger believer in the strange than her glossy image lets on.
